Growing up in poverty in South Carolina, I dreamed of a brighter future. Through faith, education, and perseverance, I built a career in the federal government and became the first woman from Morris College commissioned as an officer in the United States Army Reserve.
I earned a master’s in Criminal Justice and a PhD in Human Services. Today, as a college professor and motivational speaker, I help others recognize their potential and pursue their dreams.
Your beginning does not define your future. Believe in yourself, keep dreaming, and ignite the fire within!
